Guizhou: Wanqiao Feijia paves the way for high-speed development

2023-02-14

"The sky between the peaks is very dark, and the birds are impassable." More than 500 years ago, Wang Yangming sighed in the face of the difficulties of the Guizhou Road. Going out of the mountain is the dream of people who have been blocked by the mountains for thousands of years! Going out of the mountain means competing with the nature of the world for hundreds of millions of years, and opening a bridge between the deep canyons crushed by the crustal movement! The bridges built between mountains and canyons have paved a smooth high-speed network in Guizhou, which is "three miles flat", and also outlined the struggle for the development of "straight curve" in a western province. As the only province without plain support in China, Guizhou has built more than 200000 kilometers of highways, more than 8000 kilometers of expressways and nearly 30000 bridges under construction. Nearly half of the top 100 high bridges in the world are in Guizhou, which covers almost all types of bridges and is a veritable "bridge museum". The ten thousand bridges fly together, supporting the reality and connecting the future. Through bridges, infrastructure is organically connected, and traffic is more convenient and smooth. In 2015, counties and counties will be connected with highways, in 2017, every village will be connected with hardened roads, and every village will be connected with passenger transport. In 2019, more than 30 natural village groups will be connected with hardened roads. In just a few years, Guizhou has changed from "uneven" to "flat", realizing the transformation from "thousands of valleys" to "high-speed plain". All roads lead to prosperity. The increasingly dense traffic network has fundamentally changed the development conditions of Guizhou, bringing about the flow of people, logistics, capital and information. The smooth road has been paved, and a new chapter of colorful Guizhou's modernization construction is slowly unfolding. (Xinhua News Agency)
