Recently, the James Weber Space Telescope released an image of the Pegasus spiral galaxy NGC 7469 220 million light-years away from Earth. This galaxy is dusty, but the infrared observation of Weber Space Telescope can observe the characteristics of dense star forming rings near its bright center. NGC 7469 is a spiral galaxy with a diameter of about 90000 light-years. The bright star cluster ring at the center shows that there is an active supermassive black hole inside NGC 7469, and there are small galaxies close to NGC 7469. Scientists believe that observing the changes of NGC 7469 can see the details of galaxy merger. Image source: NASA official website (Lixin News Agency)
