Jingzhu Village in Chongqing, China, and Dazhai Village in Guangxi, China were successfully selected. Jingzhu Village is located in Xiannushan Street, Wulong District, Chongqing. On the one hand, it retains the lifestyle and architectural features rooted in the unique geographical and cultural environment, on the other hand, it introduces modern creativity to rebuild public cultural space, and uses local tiles, wood and rammed earth walls to echo and promote the traditional culture of the village, injecting vitality into the ancient village. Jingzhu Village has built a non genetic training center, built a platform for publicity and protection of cultural resources, built a "Guiyuan Tea House" with villagers' old houses, ancient firewood stoves, square tables and bamboo chairs, copper teapots and celadon cups, protected and repaired the ancient commercial road post stations, built a "Jingzhu Ancient Road", and passed on and disseminated excellent traditional culture. The selection of the "Best Tourist Village" by the United Nations World Tourism Organization began in 2021, aiming to promote the protection and sustainable development of rural cultural heritage through tourism.
