On August 2, 2022 local time, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) released the images of cartwheel galaxy and its companion galaxies. This image was synthesized by the Weber near infrared camera (NIRCam) and the mid infrared instrument (MIRI), which revealed details of galaxies that are difficult to see in a single image. The wheel galaxy was created by a high-speed collision 400 million years ago. It consists of two rings, a bright inner ring and a colorful outer ring. Both rings spread outward from the collision center like shock waves. Many features of the large spiral galaxy that existed before the collision still exist, including its rotating arm, which leads to the "spokes", which is also the inspiration for the name of the wheel galaxy.
