Based on the mutual recognition between maintenance units and maintenance training institutions, the joint maintenance management cooperation arrangement increases the mutual recognition of aircraft maintenance personnel licenses and simplifies the mutual recognition methods and processes, which is conducive to give full play to their respective advantages, further promote the integrated development of maintenance industry and support the construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area. The relevant person in charge of the Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department said that the signing of the joint maintenance management cooperation arrangement will not only provide more professionals for aircraft maintenance institutions in Hong Kong, but also provide more development space for about 2200 Hong Kong aircraft maintenance license holders and people who are interested in joining the aircraft maintenance industry in the future, and help Hong Kong consolidate its position as an international aviation hub. The relevant person in charge of the Macao Civil Aviation Administration said that after the signing of the joint maintenance management cooperation arrangement, aircraft maintenance units in the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao can reduce the work and economic burden caused by repeated technical inspection and testing, and provide greater convenience for the aviation industry in selecting maintenance units.
