On the morning of the 23rd, the welcoming ceremony for the return of the remains of the 10th batch of Chinese People's Volunteer Army martyrs in South Korea was held in Shenyang. State Councilor Chen Yiqin attended and delivered a speech. At 9:00 am, China and South Korea held a handover ceremony for the remains of 25 volunteers in South Korea at Incheon International Airport. After the special plane transporting the remains of martyrs entered Chinese airspace, two fighter jets from the Air Force welcomed and escorted them. At 12:19, the welcoming ceremony officially began at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. Chen Yiqin pointed out that for over 70 years, the motherland and the people have never forgotten the martyrs who bravely sacrificed themselves in the Korean War. The achievements of the martyrs will shine for thousands of years, and their heroic names will be remembered forever. Chen Yiqin emphasized that in the new era and new journey, we must adhere to and strengthen the comprehensive leadership of the Party, inherit and carry forward the great spirit of resisting the United States and aiding North Korea, remember the great victory, promote the great cause, adhere to the people-centered approach, steadfastly promote high-quality development, and strive for the great cause of building a strong country and national rejuvenation. We must cherish the hard-earned peaceful environment, firmly follow the path of peaceful development, and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Officials from relevant departments of central and state organs, Liaoning Province, Shenyang City, and military units, as well as over a thousand representatives from various sectors of society, attended the welcoming ceremony. After the ceremony, the remains and coffins of the martyrs were escorted to the Shenyang Anti US Aid Korea Martyrs Cemetery, and more than 10000 people lined up along the way to welcome the heroes back home.
