Civil Aviation Administration of China: Orderly Recovery of Air Transport Production in the First Half of the Year

The Civil Aviation Administration of China recently announced that in the first half of the year, it took practical measures to ensure the overall stability of aviation safety and promote the steady recovery of the transportation market. According to reports, as of July 30th, the daily average flight volume has resumed to 17150, and the daily average passenger volume has increased to 2.0816 million people. In early July, the daily average passenger volume was 2.1 million, setting a new historical high. The normal flight rate in the first half of the year was 91.4%, an increase of 11 percentage points compared to the same period in 2019. The average bridge proximity rate of 13 international Airline hub increased by 2.5 percentage points. In the first half of the year, a total of 53.13 billion ton-kilometers of transportation turnover, 284 million passenger transportation, and 3.276 million tons of cargo and mail transportation were completed, respectively recovering to 84.6%, 88.2%, and 93.1% of the same period in 2019. The industry as a whole has shown a good situation of stable recovery, safe operation, and orderly competition. In the first half of the year, the industry has completed a total of 46 billion yuan of fixed assets investment. The reconstruction and expansion projects of international hubs such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Urumqi, and regional Airline hub such as Changsha, Nanning, and Wuhan have been accelerated. The new construction of Anyang, Xiangxi, Razdolnaya, and the relocation of branch airports such as Jining have been basically completed. In terms of international flight recovery, as of the end of June, there were 3368 international passenger flights per week, serving 62 countries. (New News Agency)
