ICIF: An Important Engine for Promoting the Development of China's Cultural Industry

The 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Expo was held from June 7th to 11th. Since its official establishment in Shenzhen in 2004, the scale, number of visitors, and degree of internationalization of the ICIF have continuously increased, becoming an important engine for promoting the development of China's cultural industry, an important platform for Chinese culture to go global, and an important window for expanding cultural openness to the outside world. This year's ICIF will be held in a predominantly offline and integrated manner, further enriching the exhibition content. Among them, 6 exhibition halls are set offline, including Digital Culture Hall, Cultural Industry Comprehensive Hall A, Cultural Industry Comprehensive Hall B, Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Museum, Cultural Tourism Consumption the Belt and Road International Museum, Intangible Cultural Heritage · Arts and Crafts · Art Design Museum. The cloud based cultural expo platform will display cultural products and projects according to the classification of exhibition areas, simulate offline display scenarios using panoramic photography technology, synchronize offline exhibition content on the cloud based platform, and strengthen online transaction functions to create a "digital cultural expo". The first focus of this ICIF is to highlight the improvement of trading functions. Innovatively organize a series of industrial activities to promote transactions, such as cultural industry investment promotion conferences, cultural and international exhibitions, innovative projects, and new product launches, to provide a "debut" platform for new products and projects at home and abroad; Collaborate with e-commerce platforms to create a series of consumption promotion activities, helping exhibitors accurately connect with online and offline buyers, and creating new cultural consumption scenes. The second is to highlight the improvement of internationalization level. During the exhibition, international cultural activities will be held to expand the international circle of friends of the ICIF, and more than 20000 overseas professional visitors from over 100 countries and regions will participate. The third is to highlight digital applications. This ICIF improved the Big data system of ICIF, launched digital cultural and creative products of ICIF, innovatively developed digital tickets, provided diversified digital services, and realized green exhibition. Fourthly, highlight the innovation of display content. This year's ICIF highlights the display and promotion of national cultural industry market entities, major platforms, and the latest technological innovation achievements. At the same time, it organized cultural enterprises of new technology applications such as 5G, Big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence to participate in the exhibition, and held the "National Cultural Digitalization and Cultural Element Trade Achievement Exhibition". The ICIF not only showcases the achievements of the national cultural industry development and promotes innovative development of the cultural industry, but also drives the rapid development of Shenzhen's cultural industry. In 2022, the added value of Shenzhen's cultural industry accounted for 8% of the city's GDP, with over 100000 cultural enterprises and over 1 million employees. (New News Agency)
