In recent days, the warehouses in the Alashankou Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Xinjiang have been approaching "full capacity", with millions of e-commerce packages from China gathering here and being exported to Central Asia and Europe through roads and railways. Not far away, the construction site of the cross-border e-commerce industrial park project in the Alashankou Comprehensive Bonded Zone is also bustling with trucks weaving and tower cranes waving, and hundreds of workers working in an orderly manner. After the project is completed, it will provide enterprises with online and offline services such as cargo sorting, bonded stocking, temporary storage and processing, while also introducing various logistics warehousing functions such as overseas warehouses, border warehouses, and return warehouses. Alashankou Port, located in the Northwest Angle of China, is an important node of the economic corridor of the New Eurasian Continental Bridge and the nearest port from China to Europe. In recent years, the Alashankou Port has continued to expand the scale of cross-border e-commerce imports and exports, releasing new momentum for foreign trade growth. Parhati Abulaiti, Director of the Cross border E-commerce Office of the Commerce and Industrial Informatization Bureau of Alashankou City, introduced that the local government continues to increase its efforts in cross-border e-commerce investment and has successively introduced a group of well-known enterprises such as SF Express, Cainiao, and Ocean Logistics to settle in the cross-border e-commerce industrial park, which undoubtedly injects strong momentum into the development of the cross-border e-commerce industry. As of now, the local government has issued multiple assistance policies such as the "13 Measures to Support the High Quality Development of the Alashankou Comprehensive Bonded Zone and the Cross border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone", creating a good business environment for cross-border e-commerce enterprises from the perspectives of financial support, green channels, and storage usage. At present, the Alashankou multimodal transportation hub project of Ocean Group is under construction, with a focus on building front-end warehouses at the border, integrating domestic and foreign fleets, radiating to Central Asia and Europe, and meeting the needs of domestic and foreign customers. Enterprise leader Zhu Luzhi said, "Seize the time to build a 'channel+hub+network' logistics system and fully support the high-quality development of the port economy." At the same time, more than 20 large-scale infrastructure construction projects such as the construction of the second line of the Jinghe to Alashankou section of the Lanxin Railway and the international freight inspection center of the highway have also been launched, further enhancing the cross-border e-commerce carrying capacity of the Alashankou port. The continuous progress of opening up to the outside world is also inseparable from efficient customs clearance through "soft" connectivity. Alashankou Customs collaborates with the railway department to provide data channels and customs clearance services for e-commerce export enterprises, ensuring that cross-border e-commerce packages arrive on the same day, are inspected and released on the same day, and are quickly cleared. Especially in 2022, the local approval of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone has further reduced the operating costs of relevant enterprises at the port, with the fastest clearance time being 3 hours. The e-commerce package is shipped out of China on a China Europe train and can arrive in Europe in about 15 days.
