Li Keqiang Meets with President Hassan of Tanzania

On November 3, Premier Li Keqiang met in the Great Hall of the People with President Hassan of Tanzania, who was visiting China on a state visit. Li Keqiang expressed that China Tanzania friendship has a long history, bilateral relations have developed well in recent years, and practical cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has made strategic arrangements for the development of the country in the coming period, and China will continue to promote high-level opening up. China is willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies with Tanzania, deepen cooperation in key areas such as economy and trade, energy, health, agriculture and fishery, and enhance people to people and cultural exchanges to promote the healthy and stable development of China Tanzania relations. China is willing to expand the import of marketable products from Tanzania, encourage Chinese enterprises to expand investment in Tanzania, and hope that Tanzania will provide necessary support. Li Keqiang pointed out that China is the largest developing country in the world and Africa is the continent with the largest concentration of developing countries. The two sides always respect, support and help each other, and have profound traditional friendship. China is willing to treat African countries in good faith and on an equal footing, enhance solidarity and mutual trust, work together for inclusive and sustainable development, steadily advance the outcomes of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, expand practical cooperation openly and transparently, and strive for mutual benefit and win-win results. Hassan said that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China sent a clear signal to the world to continue to maintain foreign exchanges. Tanzania thanks China for its support and assistance over the years, firmly pursues the one China policy, and is committed to carrying forward Tanzania China traditional friendship, implementing the outcomes of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation, and promoting new progress in trade and investment, agriculture and fishery, infrastructure, people to people and cultural exchanges and cooperation.
