The reporter learned from the front-line joint command of provinces, cities (prefectures) and counties in Sichuan Province for the "9.5" Luding earthquake relief on the 12th that from 18:00 on the 12th, Sichuan Province terminated the provincial-level earthquake emergency response, and the emergency rescue phase moved to the transitional resettlement and recovery and reconstruction phase. As of 17:00 on the 11th, the Luding earthquake in Sichuan has killed 93 people, including 55 in Ganzi Prefecture and 38 in Ya'an City. Another 25 people lost contact, including 9 in Luding County and 16 in Shimian County. Rescue personnel will continue to strengthen investigation in key areas and actively search for missing persons. It is reported that many rounds of personnel search and rescue have been carried out in the Luding earthquake stricken area. At present, the people affected by the earthquake have basically been properly relocated, the basic livelihood of the people has been better guaranteed, most of the transportation, power, communication and other infrastructure has been restored, and the investigation and disposal of secondary disasters have been carried out. Relevant departments at all levels in Sichuan will continue to do a good job in follow-up work. First, we should spare no efforts to treat the wounded and do everything possible to reduce the death and disability caused by injuries. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen investigation in key areas and actively search for missing persons. Second, we should properly do a good job in the temporary resettlement of the masses, continue to do a good job in ensuring the supply of materials, and plan ahead for the relief and guarantee in winter and spring. Third, we will continue to repair earthquake damaged infrastructure such as roads, electricity, water conservancy and communications. Fourth, strengthen earthquake, meteorological and hydrological monitoring and early warning, do a good job in screening potential geological hazards and identifying the safety of housing and facilities, and resolutely avoid secondary disasters causing casualties.
