The 65th biweekly consultation forum of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference was held in Beijing on 31 December. Nine CPPCC members, experts and scholars spoke at the meeting, and more than 120 CPPCC members expressed their opinions on the platform for the performance of CPPCC members. They believe that since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the economy and society of ethnic areas in China have achieved leapfrog development, the trend of large-scale mobility and integration of all ethnic groups has been continuously strengthened, the breadth and depth of close ties in social life are unprecedented, and the sense of the Chinese national community has become more popular. At the same time, there are still many factors affecting the extensive, comprehensive and in-depth exchanges of various ethnic groups, and there are still many difficulties and obstacles in the implementation of policies. The committee members suggested that it is necessary to adhere to the two-way interaction between "inviting in" and "going out", encourage the people in the ethnic minority areas to study, visit, work and live in the eastern and central regions, and support the people in the eastern and central regions to visit, invest and develop businesses, and volunteer assistance in the ethnic minority areas. It is necessary to adhere to the simultaneous upgrading of "hardware" and "software", help ethnic areas to make up for the shortcomings in transportation, communications and other infrastructure, further promote the popularization of the national common language, and create conditions for exchanges and integration of all ethnic groups. It is necessary to improve the quality of urban ethnic work, strengthen and improve the service management of the floating population of ethnic minorities, encourage the outflow and inflow places to build a smooth working mechanism, and help the ethnic minorities to stay, integrate and live well in cities. We should encourage all localities to adapt measures to local conditions, strengthen exploration, and build a social structure and social conditions in which people of all ethnic groups live and study together, build and share, and work and enjoy together. It is necessary to integrate resources and strength, strengthen assessment and evaluation, and promote the work of building national unity and progress to comprehensively improve quality and efficiency. It is necessary to do a solid job in the publicity and education of the awareness of the Chinese national community, and refine and create Chinese cultural symbols and visual images from such elements as the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, the excellent traditional culture of China, the red memory of revolutionary culture, and the glorious development history of new China. We should strengthen the study of the basic theory and major practical issues of the Chinese national community, fully explore the historical facts, archaeological objects, and cultural relics of the exchanges and exchanges of various nationalities, and guide the people of all ethnic groups to firmly establish a correct view of the history of the Chinese nation. We should tell good stories about the exchanges and integration of various ethnic groups, and use vivid and moving stories, inspirational stories, good people and good deeds to move, inspire and unite people.
