Xi Jinping congratulates Mir Ziyoev on being elected president of Uzbekistan

President Xi Jinping called Mir Ziyoev on October 25th to congratulate him on his re-election as president of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In his congratulatory telegram, Xi Jinping pointed out that since the president took office, the construction of "new Uzbekistan" has made gratifying achievements, and has made important contributions to the stability and development of Central Asia. I believe that under your leadership, your country will make new and greater achievements in all undertakings of national construction. Xi Jinping stressed that since the establishment of diplomatic relations, cooperation in various fields between China and Ukraine has been deepened. I attach great importance to the development of China Uzbekistan relations and am willing to work with you to take the opportunity of celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year to jointly write a new chapter in the development of China Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples.
