On May 10th, according to the Propaganda Department of the Huzhou Municipal Party Committee in Zhejiang Province, during the final review of the "East Asian Cultural Capital" held in Beijing in 2025, Huzhou finally passed the final review with excellent results. "The Cultural Capital of East Asia" is an important measure to implement the consensus of the China Japan South Korea Leaders' Meeting. Since its launch in 2012, a total of 35 cities have been selected as the "Capital of East Asian Culture" by the Three Kingdoms. As of now, cities such as Ningbo, Wenzhou, and Shaoxing in Zhejiang have won this honor. According to the city application situation, 14 cities, including Huzhou, were selected as candidate cities for the "East Asian Cultural Capital" in the early stage of Nanxun Ancient Town in 2025. After strict initial review and secret investigation, six cities including Huzhou were jointly shortlisted for the final review stage. At the final review event, Huzhou reported on its efforts and achievements in creating the "Jiangnan Window" for East Asian culture from four aspects: "Here is the most ecological beauty of Jiangnan", "Here is the most cultural heritage of Jiangnan", "Here is the most aesthetic life of Jiangnan", and "Here is the most cultural window of Jiangnan". "The Capital of East Asian Culture" is a valuable international urban cultural business card.
