2024-04-26

In January of this year, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Health Commission jointly issued a notice on the pilot work of direct settlement of work-related injury insurance for cross provincial and cross regional medical treatment. It was specified that starting from April 1st, some cities will be selected to launch a one-year pilot work, supporting work-related injury employees to hold social security cards (electronic social security cards) to directly settle the costs of cross provincial and cross regional medical treatment, inpatient work-related injury rehabilitation, and auxiliary equipment configuration. Recently, the relevant person in charge of the Work Injury Insurance Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security stated that on April 1st, the national work injury insurance off-site medical direct settlement system was successfully launched, and the pilot work was officially launched. The construction of the national "One Network" and "One Card" for work injury insurance has been completed. At present, a total of 131 pilot cities have been identified nationwide, and 398 agreements for work-related injury medical treatment, work-related injury rehabilitation, and auxiliary equipment configuration have been opened and launched. Workers with work-related injuries in pilot cities who have a demand can complete the registration according to regulations, hold social security cards or electronic social security cards, and directly settle relevant fees at the corresponding pilot city's agreement institutions that have opened direct settlement. It is reported that since the pilot was launched, with the joint efforts of relevant departments and agreement institutions in various regions, the pilot work has been smoothly implemented. With the continuous progress of pilot work, the number of online agreement institutions will continue to increase. To further facilitate the cross provincial medical treatment of injured workers, relevant departments have also provided online filing applications and information query public services. Workers with work-related injuries can apply for registration through national unified online service portals such as the National Social Insurance Public Service Platform, the National Human Resources and Social Security Government Service Platform, electronic social security cards, and the mobile 12333 APP. They can also inquire about medical details, pilot cities, agreement institutions, social security agencies, and other information. (Lai Xin She)
