The design and assembly of humanoid robots have been successfully developed as a "big factory"

Qiao Hong, an academician from the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has recently successfully developed a "big factory" for the design and assembly of humanoid robots. "Big factories" can quickly design and construct hardware and software systems for humanoid robots. Currently, multiple humanoid robot prototypes have been designed, and preliminary technical verification has been achieved for different scenarios. The design and assembly of humanoid robots can fully integrate unit technologies such as intelligence, mechanisms, components, control, and decision-making, quickly generate various humanoid robot systems, and lay the foundation for the formation of humanoid robot technology standards and industrialization, as well as for the self production, self construction, and self evolution of humanoid robots in environments difficult for humans to reach. In response to the demand for adaptive outdoor complex terrain and resistance to unknown interference, "Big Factory" has designed and constructed biomimetic high dynamic robots that can achieve accurate tracking and balance control of full body posture through artificial intelligence, multi terrain adaptation robots that can achieve adaptive and stable operation of various complex terrains indoors and outdoors, and high explosive motion robots that can achieve robust control of batch robots and different environmental adaptability. In order to further explore the scientific research needs of human motion characteristics and precise operation mechanisms, based on the nonlinear characteristics and distribution characteristics of human musculoskeletal systems, as well as the control mechanisms of the motor cortex cerebellum spinal cord circuit, the "Big Factory" has constructed humanoid robots that can achieve high flexibility and precision movement. In addition, in order to meet the intelligent requirements of humanoid robots to complete multiple tasks in indoor scenes, "Big Factory" has incorporated the Zidong Taichu multi-mode large model independently developed by the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences into the robot system, and built a highly concurrent reasoning humanoid robot. This type of robot can provide important support for smart factory operations and home life services. In the future, the research team will continue to closely focus on the overall goal of building a humanoid robot technology and industrial innovation chain, continuously breaking through key technologies, cultivating key systems, expanding scenario applications, creating an industrial ecosystem, strengthening support capabilities, and enhancing the international competitiveness and influence of China's humanoid robot industry.
