According to data from the border inspection station of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, the total inbound and outbound passenger flow at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Bridge exceeded 130000 on the 12th, breaking the record of 115000 people per day set during last year's Mid Autumn Festival and National Day, and reaching a new high since its opening. Data shows that from February 10th to 12th, there were 310000 inbound and outbound passengers and 41000 vehicles passing through the port, an increase of 520% and 240% compared to the same period last year during the Spring Festival. The total number of inbound passengers at the port reached 184000, and the number of inbound vehicles reached 24000. Among them, the number of single license plate vehicles in Hong Kong exceeded 8000 for the first time in a single day, setting a new high since the implementation of the "Hong Kong Bus North" policy. The first Spring Festival holiday after the official implementation of the policies of "Macau cars heading north" and "Hong Kong cars heading north" has become an important way for Hong Kong and Macau residents to travel, driven by the trend of "heading north" consumption. On the 12th, over 12000 single license plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao entered and exited the port, accounting for over 70% of the total passenger clearance volume, becoming one of the main factors driving up the peak passenger and vehicle flow at the port. The border inspection department introduced that compared to before the holiday, the peak hours of passenger and vehicle flow at ports during the Spring Festival are longer and higher. Since February 10th, the peak hours of various venues at the port have been connected and overlapped, with an overall peak time of 17 hours. During the peak period, the passenger flow at the port exceeded 9000 people per hour, and the vehicle flow exceeded 1100 vehicles per hour. In addition, influenced by the Hong Kong and Macao New Year celebrations, the number of "Hong Kong and Macao tourists" returning through Zhuhai Port at night has significantly increased, and the "late night peak" passenger flow has become a new characteristic of port holiday customs clearance. The border inspection department reminds that the fourth day of the lunar new year is the last day of the Hong Kong and Macao Spring Festival holiday, and it is expected that there will be a concentrated peak of outbound travel at the port.
