This year, our technological achievements have been inspiring

2023-12-20

Technological innovation is a key variable of unprecedented changes and the greatest increment of high-quality development. In 2023, China's science and technology industry has achieved fruitful results. This year, the large aircraft C919 completed its first commercial passenger flight, and the manufacturing of domestically produced large cruise ships achieved a "zero breakthrough". The world's first integrated memory resistor, memory and computing chip was born, and China's space station entered a new stage of application and development... Although the road is long, it is approaching, and although it is difficult to do, it is inevitable. Our country's scientific and technological strength is moving from quantitative accumulation to qualitative leap, from breakthroughs in points to improvement in system capabilities. With the acceleration of achieving high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement, the dream of becoming a strong country will surely be better reflected in reality. Turning the page on civil aviation, the C919 successfully completed its first commercial passenger flight, taking off smoothly, landing smoothly, and crossing the water gate... On May 28th, China's independently developed large passenger aircraft, the C919, successfully completed its first commercial passenger flight. The soaring C919 has made the Chinese people's dream of a big airplane a reality. In the field of civil aviation, large passenger aircraft usually refer to aircraft with a takeoff weight of around 100 tons and carrying more than 150 passengers. Large passenger planes are composed of millions of components, with high technological barriers, long development cycles, and complex systems, and are known as the "pearls of modern manufacturing industry.". Its manufacturing capability directly reflects a country's industrial level. The C919 is independently developed by China and also the first mainline civilian aircraft developed in accordance with the latest international airworthiness standards. In terms of design, the C919 cockpit has 5 15.4-inch high-definition displays, making human-computer interaction convenient; The large area of hyperbolic windshield provides pilots with a wide field of view. In terms of safety, the C919 underwent nearly 6600 hours of extreme pressure testing, including high temperature, high cold, high humidity, strong crosswinds, natural icing, and splashing. Finally, it passed strict review and completed all airworthiness certification exams. Wei Yingbiao, Deputy General Manager of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, stated that COMAC has the ability to mass produce C919 and will reach an annual production capacity of 30-50 aircraft in the future. To help achieve China's first offshore carbon dioxide storage demonstration project and achieve the "dual carbon" goal, in addition to transforming energy acquisition methods, reducing reliance on fossil fuels such as oil, coal, and natural gas, and adopting conventional methods such as afforestation and improving carbon sequestration capacity, a technology called "the last mile solution to carbon neutrality" - carbon storage can also be utilized. On June 1st, China's first offshore carbon dioxide storage demonstration project was officially put into operation in the eastern waters of the South China Sea, starting to inject carbon dioxide produced by offshore oil extraction into the seabed on a large scale. This project fills the gap in China's offshore carbon dioxide storage technology. The Enping 15-1 platform is the largest offshore crude oil production platform in Asia. The carbon dioxide content of the associated gas in Enping 15-1 oilfield is as high as 95%. If developed according to the conventional mode, carbon dioxide will be extracted from the ground along with crude oil, which will not only cause corrosion to offshore platform facilities and submarine pipelines, but also increase China's carbon dioxide emissions. China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) implements a carbon dioxide storage demonstration project in the Enping 15-1 oilfield and conducts geological research
