From November 28th to 29th, Ding Xuexiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, visited Turkmenistan and met with Turkmenistan's President Sherdar Berdymukhamedov. He held talks with Turkmenistan's Vice Premier and Foreign Minister Meledov and co chaired the sixth meeting of the China Turkey Cooperation Committee. Ding Xuexiang stated that China Turkey relations have achieved a "major leap" this year. China is willing to work with Turkey to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, continuously enrich the new connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Turkey, and inject new impetus into the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Turkey. China is a trusted friend and partner of Turkmenistan, firmly supporting Turkey in safeguarding sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and pursuing a development path that is in line with its own national conditions. Ding Xuexiang pointed out that China Turkey cooperation has strong complementarity, enormous potential, and broad prospects. Both sides should leverage their complementary advantages, tap into the potential for cooperation, continuously deepen and expand cooperation in key areas, and promote the grand blueprint planned by the leaders of the two countries to become a practical achievement, better benefiting both countries and their peoples. China is willing to work hand in hand with Central Asian countries, including Turkey, to steadily promote the construction of China Central Asia cooperation mechanisms. Turkey is willing to strengthen strategic communication with China, deepen practical cooperation in various fields, and promote the comprehensive strategic partnership between Turkey and China to a new level. The achievements of the first China Asia Summit are being effectively implemented. Turkey firmly supports the China Central Asia cooperation mechanism and is willing to work with China to promote regional security, stability, development, and prosperity. On the 29th, Ding Xuexiang and Meledov jointly chaired the 6th meeting of the China Turkey Cooperation Committee. The meeting fully affirmed the progress made in practical cooperation between the two sides, focusing on cooperation topics such as economy and trade, investment, natural gas, connectivity, cultural exchanges, security, etc., exchanging views in depth, and planning the focus of cooperation in the next stage. The two sides agreed to further strengthen the docking of development strategies and lead the all-round cooperation between China and Turkmenistan with high-quality joint construction of the "the Belt and Road". Efforts will be made to enhance the scale of economic, trade, and investment cooperation, continuously deepen natural gas cooperation, accelerate the negotiation of priority economic projects, and carry out more cooperation in non resource fields. Actively building a new pattern of interconnectivity and further deepening transportation and logistics cooperation between China and Turkey. Expand new channels for cultural exchange, organize cultural year related activities well, and promote the early implementation of projects such as mutual establishment of cultural centers, establishment of Luban workshops in Turkey, and traditional medical centers. Continue to expand security cooperation, further deepen counter-terrorism cooperation, and jointly combat the "three forces". The China Turkey Cooperation Committee should fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, fully play the role of overall planning, coordination, and guidance, and promote pragmatic cooperation between the two countries to continuously reach new heights. After the meeting, Ding Xuexiang and Meledov signed the Minutes of the Sixth Meeting of the China Turkey Cooperation Committee, and witnessed the signing of cooperation documents such as the Memorandum of Understanding on Deepening Science and Technology Cooperation and the International Road Transport Agreement.
