On the 29th, Vice President Han Zheng collectively met with representatives from both sides at the 14th Plenary Session of the China Russia Friendship, Peace and Development Committee in Beijing. This year, the two heads of state met face-to-face twice, making comprehensive arrangements for the development of bilateral relations and pointing out the direction for promoting the cause of China Russia civil friendship. I hope that the committee can effectively implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, take next year's celebration of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Russia and the holding of a cultural year as an opportunity, fully leverage the strong cohesion, appeal, and driving force of civil diplomacy, and make new and greater contributions to the development of bilateral relations. The Russian Chairman of the Committee, Titov, stated that Russia China relations are at a historical high, and outstanding achievements have been made in cultural exchanges and practical cooperation.
