The reporter learned from the ongoing 2023 International Symposium on the Peaceful Uses of Space Technology that China has signed over 150 intergovernmental space agreements with more than 50 countries and international organizations, actively expanding international space cooperation. The relevant person in charge of the National Space Administration stated at the meeting that China has always adhered to conducting space exploration cooperation on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, and peaceful utilization. As of now, China has signed over 150 space cooperation documents with more than 50 countries and international organizations. Not long ago, the International Lunar Research Station project proposed by China and jointly constructed by multiple countries also welcomed the participation of two new partners, Belarus and Pakistan. The two sides will carry out extensive and in-depth cooperation in the construction and operation of the International Lunar Research Station, including space technology applications, new materials and electronic components, and education and training for researchers and experts. Secretary General of the International Academy of Astronautics, Jean Michel Canton: In the field of space energy, we may be able to build a base station in orbit to absorb solar energy and transmit it to the ground. This is similar in principle to the solar panels on everyone's roofs now. Solar power generation does not produce any by-products, which will greatly improve pollution problems. Yang Baohua, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Aerospace Society and Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics and Astronautics, said that the peaceful development and utilization of space is a shared responsibility of humanity. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen international cooperation and exchanges in the peaceful use of space, which will greatly help emerging aerospace countries innovate in space technology and develop their aerospace industry. At the same time, it advocates for industrial development and the transformation of existing achievements in space technology into other industries, It will become a driving force for economic development and social progress in various countries. The relevant person in charge of the Space Administration also stated that China's Fengyun Meteorological Satellite has provided data services to 115 countries and regions around the world. Chang'e-4 is equipped with four national payloads, namely the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia, providing a platform for Chinese and foreign scientists to explore space, conduct scientific experiments, and verify technology. In the future, China will gradually carry out international satellite data sharing and overseas data application center construction under multilateral cooperation frameworks such as the United Nations and the BRICS, to help achieve the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.
