Russia's natural gas supply pipeline from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan has been launched

The natural gas pipeline from Russia to Uzbekistan via Kazakhstan was launched on the 7th. According to the Russian President's website, Russian President Putin, Kazakh President Tokayev, and Ukrainian President Mirziyoyev jointly attended the launch ceremony of the transit natural gas pipeline in Moscow on the same day. Putin said in his speech at the launch ceremony that according to the relevant contract, Russia will supply 2.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Uzbekistan in the next two years. On the same day, Putin stated during talks with Tokayev that the aforementioned natural gas cooperation projects are of great significance for regional economic development and energy security. Tokayev said that the current cooperation between the two countries is developing smoothly. Putin held talks with Mirziyoyev on the 6th, and both sides affirmed the good development of bilateral relations. After the meeting, both sides signed a joint statement on deepening bilateral relations. (New News Agency)
