Indonesian President Joko Announces the Official Opening of the Yawan High Speed Railway

On the morning of the 2nd, Indonesian President Joko announced the official opening of the Jakarta Wan high-speed railway at the Halim high-speed railway station in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. Zoko said that the Yawan high-speed railway is the first high-speed railway in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, with a speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour, marking the further modernization of Indonesia's transportation industry. Zoko said that the technology and speed used by the Yawan high-speed railway are "new" to the Indonesian people. The leaders of the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, China Railway International Co., Ltd., Indonesia China High Speed Railway Co., Ltd. and other units attended the opening ceremony. On September 29th, the Indonesian Ministry of Transport issued an operation permit to Indonesia China High Speed Railway Co., Ltd. The Jakarta Wanzhou High speed Railway is a landmark project of China's joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and Indonesia's "Global Marine Fulcrum" concept docking, as well as practical cooperation between China and Indonesia. It connects Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Bandung, the fourth largest city, with a total length of 142 kilometers. It is the first time that China's high-speed railway has been launched overseas with a full system, full elements, and full industrial chain. (New News Agency)
