Xinhua News Agency reporter Xu Yu took a photo of nursing staff from the Anning Treatment and Nursing Department of Cangzhou People's Hospital in Hebei Province accompanying patients for outdoor activities. Xinhua News Agency reporter Wang Min took a photo of a staff member from the Shenzhen Notary Office displaying a sample of the pre order notarization certificate during their lifetime. According to the notice issued by the General Office of the National Health Commission of Shenzhen News Network recently, Beijing, Zhejiang Province, and Hunan Province were designated as the third batch of national pilot cities for peaceful treatment and nursing, while 61 cities (districts) including Nankai District of Tianjin were designated as the third batch of national pilot cities (districts) for peaceful treatment and nursing. At present, three batches of national level hospice treatment pilot projects have covered 185 cities (districts) nationwide. Tranquil care refers to providing physical, psychological, and spiritual care and humanistic care to end-stage or elderly patients before their death, improving their quality of life, and helping them pass away comfortably, peacefully, and with dignity. Over the years, the national pilot areas for peaceful treatment and care have established and improved policy measures, continuously expanded service supply, and made positive progress in the pilot work. What are the new experiences of local hospice care services? How to promote greater progress in this service? The reporter conducted an interview. The synchronization of "treatment" and "care" was carried out for 97 year old Li, who was previously hospitalized at a hospital in Beijing due to various underlying diseases. Doctors determined that his life had entered the final stage. Uncle Li, who couldn't bear the pain, told his family when he was sober that he hoped to be discharged. After discussion, one night in mid July, his family took him to Beijing Songtang Care Hospital. When the reporter arrived at the ward recently, he saw that his condition was stable and he could sit and chat with family and patients. Many things need to be taken for granted, "said Uncle Li. After arriving at the caring hospital, doctors provided him with psychological treatment and often provided him with life education and psychological comfort. Mr. Li, who was once a professor at a university in Beijing, also met a student he had taught at the hospital. This student suffers from cerebral thrombosis and was paralyzed when admitted two months ago. After comprehensive treatment, he is now able to walk and do exercises and sing every day. Watching the students recover well, Uncle Li's mentality has improved and he is more willing to cooperate with the treatment. Mr. Li's son said that the care process in the hospital takes into account the patient's feelings more, reducing pain through medical means and eliminating fear through psychological care; At the same time, I often communicate with my family about treatment plans, and the service is very considerate. Since 2017, the National Health Commission has launched two batches of pilot work on peaceful treatment and care. In 2019, the National Health Commission and other departments jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Establishing and Improving the Elderly Health Service System", proposing to strengthen hospice care services, establish and improve a multidisciplinary service model for hospice care, provide pain and other symptom control, comfortable care and other services for end-stage patients, and provide psychological support and humanistic care for patients and their families. In recent years, multiple cities have launched pilot programs for palliative care. In 2022, Beijing issued the "Implementation Plan for Accelerating the Development of Hospice Care Services", which specifies the goal of "establishing at least one hospice care center in each district by 2025, and providing no less than 1800 beds for hospice care services in the city".
