China's Special Envoy for Climate Change Affairs Holds Bilateral Climate Talks as Invited

On the 27th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced that China's special envoy for climate change affairs, Xie Zhenhua, held a video meeting with the US President's special envoy on climate issues, Kerry, as requested. According to a report released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, following the dialogue between the Chinese and US climate envoys held in Beijing from July 16th to 19th, Xie Zhenhua held a video meeting with Kerry on July 27th, as requested, to further exchange views on topics such as strengthening the dialogue and exchange on climate change between China and the United States, and promoting cooperation in the multilateral process of global climate change. Both parties agree to continue to maintain close communication. In addition, Xie Zhenhua recently held talks with the UAE Ambassador to China Hamadi, exchanging in-depth views on topics such as the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) and China Arab climate cooperation, and expressed that China will firmly support the UAE as the presidency to successfully host COP28.
