Guangzhou Launches the "Hundred Enterprises and Thousand Talents" Hong Kong and Macao College Student Internship Program

The 2023 "Spread the Wings Plan" Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan University Student Internship Special Action and the Guangzhou "Hundred Enterprises and Thousand Talents" Hong Kong and Macao University Student Internship Plan have recently been launched in Guangzhou. During the summer vacation, nearly 200 young students from Hong Kong and Macao will travel to major enterprises and institutions in Guangzhou, starting a short-term internship of about 45 days. At the launch ceremony, Huo Qiwen, Vice Chairman of the Guangzhou Youth Federation and Chairman of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Youth Federation, expressed the hope that students who participate in the "Hundred Enterprises and Thousand Talents" Hong Kong and Macao University Student Internship Program can promote youth exchange and communication among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao through offline internships, aim for future employment opportunities, find a direction in life, and inject new impetus into the high-quality development of the Greater Bay Area. Hong Kong and Macao university students are full of expectations for the upcoming internship in Guangzhou. "I signed up through the Chinese Students Federation of Macao and am preparing to go to the People's Court of Yuexiu District in Guangzhou to practice. This is a rare opportunity, which is very helpful for me to accumulate experience and broaden my horizon." Yang Yingyi, a student studying in the Sino Portuguese Law Department of the University of Macau, said. In the next month or more, Hong Kong and Macao college students will also participate in the cultural exchange activities of "youth come to Guangzhou with one heart" after internship, feel the Cantonese culture, appreciate high-tech, participate in rural revitalization, and further enhance the Cultural identity of Hong Kong and Macao youth. Since 2020, the Guangzhou Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Guangzhou Youth Federation have launched the "Hundred Enterprises and Thousand Talents" internship program for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan college students, mainly recruiting young students under the age of 28 from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan to participate in 4-6 weeks of internship in Guangzhou, providing food, accommodation, transportation, insurance, and other security services.
