Lahruwa specifically mentioned the Chinese peacekeeping helicopter unit carrying out peacekeeping missions in the United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei. The Abyei region covers an area of approximately 10000 square kilometers and is one of the disputed areas between Sudan and South Sudan. Lahruwa said that at a critical moment, the Chinese peacekeeping helicopter team played an important role in successfully rescuing United Nations staff trapped due to escalating conflicts, making it an "indispensable" peacekeeping force. When introducing the achievements of United Nations peacekeeping operations, Lahruwa said that with the support of peacekeeping operations, many countries have restored peace and stability, witnessing a "positive and positive transformation", which reflects the effectiveness of peacekeeping operations. In addition, peacekeeping personnel have also played an important role in protecting civilians. Taking his own visits to African countries as an example, Lahruwa pointed out that peacekeeping personnel have provided effective protection for many displaced persons.
