Macau holds a summit to explore creating a "talent window" in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area

More than 200 international corporate executives, experts, scholars, and envoys to China gathered in Macau on the 11th to participate in the "2023 Global Talent Summit" and jointly explore how the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area can create a "talent window" to help regional economic development. The International Federation of Talent Organizations released the "Asian Talent Development Report 2023 under Technological Change" at the summit. Keynote speeches were delivered by Li Xingwei, President of Macau University of Science and Technology, Zhou Changxing, Secretary General of the Talent Development Committee of the Macau SAR Government, and Nguyen Kwok Heng, Vice President of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The attendees conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the impact of technology on talent cultivation and planning, high-quality development and cooperation in digital service trade between China and ASEAN, and in-depth exchange of financial and insurance knowledge and talents in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. This summit is also a major measure to promote the moderate and diversified development of Macau's economy, aiming to attract more high-end talents from different sectors and fields to spread to a broader market space through Macau's international platform. The executive chairman of the summit, Jiang Zhongyuan, believes that Macau, with its geographical location, first-class exhibition and tourism infrastructure, and supporting business environment, can continuously grow numerous technology enterprises. "Especially in the fields of health, financial technology, education, and digital empowerment, Macau has unique advantages. The SAR government will implement a new talent introduction system and actively reserve high-level talents at all levels for Macao's social and economic development, "said Huang Yiheng, an advisor to the Office of the Director of the Social and Cultural Department of the Macau SAR government who attended the summit. This summit is jointly hosted by CCGM China ASEAN Greater Bay Area Cooperation Center (Macau) and the International Federation of Talent Organizations. (New News Agency)
