As of the end of March, China has 620 million 5G mobile phone users, over 100 million gigabit optical network users, and 1.984 billion mobile Internet of Things users. The proportion of "Internet of Things" connections has increased to 53.8%, and the foundation of the Internet of Things has been steadily consolidated. At the same time, integrated applications have deepened and become more practical, with 5G applications covering 52 major categories of the national economy. Zhao Zhiguo said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will study and introduce policy measures to promote the coordinated development of new information infrastructure construction, promote the "Broadband Frontier", the "Chasing Light Action" of gigabit optical networks, the construction of strong cloud networks in small and medium-sized cities, and the high-quality development of the mobile Internet of Things.
