According to the notice issued by the two departments on strengthening the collaborative and innovative development of 5G+smart tourism, China will promote the innovative application of 5G in the tourism industry, enhance the service level of 5G+smart tourism, and promote the improvement of 5G integrated application development level and industrial innovation ability. The notice proposes 9 key tasks around strengthening 5G network coverage in key tourism areas, innovating new experiences in 5G+smart tourism services, and building 5G+smart tourism demonstration benchmarks. In terms of strengthening the 5G network coverage in key tourism areas, the two departments encourage all regions to strengthen the 5G network coverage level in key areas such as national high-level tourist attraction, national tourist resorts, national tourist leisure blocks, and red tourism integration development demonstration areas, and optimize the 5G network service quality in key areas and passenger flow intensive areas.
