On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Malaysia, the "Year of Investment in China" (entering ASEAN) and the 10th anniversary celebration of the "Two Countries, Two Parks" - Malaysia China Kuantan Industrial Park were held in Kuantan, the capital of the Malaysian state of Pahang. This event resulted in a total of 17 signed and cooperative projects, with a total amount of RMB 39.23 billion. The upgrading and expansion of the Malaysian China Kuantan Industrial Park and the centralized construction of major projects promote the linkage and upgrading of the "two countries, two parks", injecting new impetus into the international production capacity cooperation between China and Malaysia. Malaysia China Kuantan Industrial Park, a model of China Malaysia economic cooperation, is the first national industrial park established by China in Malaysia, and also a major project of the "the Belt and Road" plan and a demonstration base for cross-border international production capacity cooperation. The park officially opened in 2013, becoming the "sister park" of the China Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park. Relying on the natural endowments, industrial advantages, and market resources of both countries, the "Two Countries, Two Parks" between China and Malaysia will accelerate the construction of cross-border industrial chains, supply chains, and value chains, and layout relevant characteristic industries. With the continuous deepening of exchanges and cooperation, the construction of the industrial system in the park has accelerated, becoming a model of innovation in economic cooperation between the two countries. The joint steel phase I project with an annual output of 3.5 million tons has a total investment of approximately 1.4 billion US dollars, making it the first project to settle in the Malaysian China Kuantan Industrial Park. The project was officially put into full operation in June 2019 and is a leading full process steel enterprise in Malaysia, driving a leap in the Malaysian steel industry. At the same time, the China Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park located in Guangxi, China is promoting the normalization of Malaysian bird's nest exports to China, establishing a China ASEAN bird's nest cross-border industrial chain that integrates bird's nest imports, testing, standardized processing, and supply chain financial services, and constructing a modern industrial system that includes industries such as new materials, biopharmaceuticals, equipment manufacturing, and electronic information. The local economic development booster has entered the Mazhong Guandan Industrial Park, with office buildings, dormitories, factories, and warehouses lining one after another. The scene of vehicles constantly flowing and employees busy working has caught the eyes of reporters. In Guandan Port, adjacent to the industrial park, since Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group became a shareholder, two 150000 ton deepwater terminals have been built in the new deepwater port area, greatly improving the port's throughput capacity. Nowadays, the infrastructure construction of the industrial park is fully underway, and project investment is constantly achieving new results. "Lu Yong, Executive Vice General Manager of Beibu Port Holdings (Malaysia) Co., Ltd., the operator of the industrial park, said that the 12 square kilometers of land in the park have been developed, with a total of 12 signed projects, an agreed investment of over 46 billion yuan, and a total industrial output value of over 60 billion yuan. Malaysia's Minister of State of Penhang, Wang Rosdi, told Xinhua News Agency that the development of the Malaysian China Kuantan Industrial Park and Kuantan Port has promoted trade and investment activities between the two countries, driven the economic development of Penhang, and provided more employment opportunities for local professionals and technical workers. Hua Zhila, a Malaysian girl who speaks fluent Chinese, is one of them. She joined United Steel (Malaysia) Group in May 2018 and is currently responsible for environmental safety work. She told reporters that her nearly five years of work experience have enabled her to gain a lot in professional skills. On the 7th, the international production capacity cooperation was further upgraded, and the upgrading and expansion of the Malaysian China Guandan Industrial Park and the centralized commencement ceremony of major projects were held.
