Release of the first batch of hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellite image results

2023-03-29

On the 28th, NASA released the first batch of hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellite imaging results, including global ozone column concentration monitoring map, global nitrogen dioxide column concentration monitoring map, brightness temperature monitoring map, sea ice monitoring map, hyperspectral data cube map, and other hyperspectral data images, demonstrating the application of hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellites in greenhouse gas detection, quantitative remote sensing monitoring of inland water quality, and fine classification of ground objects The application of mineral resources survey and other aspects. The hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellite is an important component of the major special space-based system of the high-resolution Earth observation system. It was successfully launched on December 9, 2022, marking the full completion of the construction task of the high resolution special engineering space segment. On January 21, 2023, the functional test of the satellite platform system and payload was completed. The preprocessing image quality of each payload was good, and the on-orbit state was stable. The satellite ground integration test phase was officially transferred. Up to now, the satellite ground system has received a total of 320TB of data. Under the organization of the Earth Observation and Data Center of the National Space Administration, the first batch of image maps were jointly produced by the Satellite Environment Application Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, in conjunction with the Land Satellite Remote Sensing Application Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Satellite Meteorological Center, and the China Resources Satellite Application Center. Taking into account factors such as image quality, ground object type, and imaging mode, a total of 14 image results were selected that can reflect the unique functions and performance of hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellites. Including 7 visible short wave infrared hyperspectral camera image products, 4 atmospheric trace gas differential absorption spectrometer image products, and 3 wide thermal infrared imager image products. For example, visible shortwave infrared hyperspectral data cube maps can accurately reflect the spectral characteristics of ground objects, distinguish the subtle spectral differences of different ground objects, and accurately extract various types of water bodies, vegetation, crops, and so on. The satellite's data will also be shared on the national remote sensing data and application service platform, continuously providing users at all levels with national civil remote sensing data and product application services, including hyperspectral comprehensive observation satellite data, and promoting the joint construction, sharing, and sharing of remote sensing data in China. According to the National Space Administration, currently, high score data has accumulated over 40 million views, and is widely used in 28 industries, 31 provinces, and more than 2800 units. Nationwide, 31 provincial data and application centers and 3 regional characteristic centers have been established, and applications have been expanded to cities and counties. High score data has achieved a large number of application results in natural resources, ecological environment, agriculture and rural areas, emergency disaster reduction, meteorology, and other industries, providing strong spatial information support for the modernization of national governance systems and governance capabilities, and becoming an indispensable new type of infrastructure and technical means for high-quality development.
