Second, the role of consumption driving has been enhanced. As the economic development has shifted from a stage of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development, the development pattern of China's domestic demand has accelerated its transformation from investment oriented to consumption oriented, and the proportion of consumption in domestic demand has steadily increased. In 2021, consumption will account for 56.0% of domestic demand, 3.4 percentage points higher than that in 2012. The contribution rate and pulling effect of consumption on economic growth are generally higher than that of investment. China's economic growth has gradually realized the transformation from investment pulling to consumption driving. Third, the consumption level has been steadily improved. From 2012 to 2021, the per capita consumption expenditure of Chinese residents will increase from 12054 yuan to 24100 yuan, with an average annual nominal growth of 8.0%; The Engel coefficient of Chinese residents has decreased by 3.2 percentage points, and the gap between China and developed countries has gradually narrowed. Fourth, the consumption quality has been improved significantly. Commodity consumption has been upgraded from "having" to "good", consumption structure has been upgraded from commodity to service, and consumption focus has been upgraded from survival to development and enjoyment. Specifically, the demand for quality consumption has increased, which is highlighted by the sharp increase in demand for imported consumer goods. At the same time, the proportion of service consumption expenditure has gradually increased. In 2021, the per capita service consumption expenditure of residents will be 10645 yuan, accounting for 44.2% of the per capita consumption expenditure, 4.5 percentage points higher than that in 2013. Consumers pay more attention to spiritual pursuit, consumption experience and pleasure. Fifth, the momentum of consumption innovation is strong. New technologies, such as the Internet, big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, have played a significant role in enabling China's consumption to enter the era of digital intelligence. Innovative consumer products in the fields of mobile intelligent terminals, intelligent robots, smart homes and intelligent transportation are emerging. New experiential and interactive consumption models such as virtual reality, augmented reality and holographic projection construct a fashion consumption scene that integrates many elements.
