Next year will usher in the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese strategic partnership. Both sides should work together to promote greater development of the Chinese strategic cooperative partnership and better benefit the two peoples. China appreciates that the Brunei side actively promoted the development of China ASEAN relations during its rotating presidency of ASEAN, and is willing to continue to strengthen communication and coordination with the Brunei side within the framework of ASEAN and APEC. China is willing to work with Brunei and other ASEAN countries to actively promote maritime cooperation and consultations on the South China Sea Code of Conduct, so as to build the South China Sea into a sea of peace, friendship and cooperation. I firmly believe that China will continue to maintain prosperity and development and achieve the set strategic goals. The two countries enjoy friendly relations and fruitful cooperation. The Brunei side highly appreciates China's donation of COVID-19 vaccine to the Brunei side, and thanks China for its strong support for the Brunei side's work as the rotating presidency of ASEAN. The Brunei side firmly pursues the one China policy and is willing to work with the Chinese side to promote Brunei China relations to a higher level. We welcome the Chinese side to actively participate in Brunei's economic diversification process and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, education, humanities, sports, defense and other fields.
