At the beginning of the school season, the General Administration of Market Supervision, together with the Ministry of Education, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Public Security, issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in School Food Safety in the Autumn of 2022 (hereinafter referred to as the Notice), deployed various work on school food safety in the autumn, and fully defended the bottom line of school food safety. Food is the most important thing for the people, and safety is the first thing to eat. Food safety is not a trivial matter, especially in campus. In recent years, the overall situation of school food safety has continued to improve. All regions and departments have summarized a lot of good experiences and measures, but the food safety problem cannot be ignored. Especially at important time nodes such as the school opening season and graduation season, the pressure on school food safety is greater, and there is no room for slackness and carelessness. Since 2011, China has launched the nutrition improvement plan for rural compulsory education students. From "eggs and milk with meals" to "schools have canteens", the nutrition improvement plan has covered 123800 rural compulsory education schools, benefiting 350 million students. From "full" to "nutritious" nutritious meals, children's healthy growth can be seen with the naked eye. According to the tracking and monitoring data of the China Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in 2019, the average height and weight of male and female students of all ages in the pilot areas of the nutrition improvement plan were higher than the average growth rate of rural students nationwide. Therefore, the "nutritious meal" has become an individual case of "problem meal", which is even more shocking. This time, many ministries and commissions are working together to put more pressure on the supervision, pay more attention to the quality and safety, and put an end to the hidden dangers of campus food safety. Food safety is related to the physical and mental health of each student, and no link can be neglected. School canteens should start from the source of food, check the incoming raw materials, and quickly test the food raw materials. Where conditions permit, we can explore the construction of "central kitchen", implement "unified recruitment, purchase, distribution and delivery" for bulk food and raw materials in schools, supervise the environmental health of processing operation sites, use automatic processing equipment for on-site processing and production, enrich varieties, improve taste and balance nutrition while reducing costs and ensuring safety. In recent years, some school canteens have built an "Internet+Bright Kitchen", which "exposes" the kitchen on the Internet, so that the school canteens are under the extensive supervision of parents, teachers and students, regulatory authorities and the society, so that all sectors of society can inspect, judge and sense the safety of campus food, and give parents a "reassurance". There is no blind spot in campus food safety, and enterprises providing campus catering services must be subject to strict supervision. The Notice particularly emphasized that the food operators of off campus catering units should be fully supervised and inspected. Looking back on the negative cases in recent years, the potential safety hazards faced by enterprise catering are more prominent. The root of this problem is that the transparency of management is not enough, and there are loopholes from bidding to daily management. In this regard, on the one hand, it is necessary to improve the access and exit management mechanism of nutrition meal distribution enterprises, and include enterprises that have failed to rectify problems in the "blacklist"; On the other hand, we can explore the establishment of a group composed of schools, parents' representatives and teachers' representatives to timely supervise the progress and results of bidding, so as to make this process more standardized and transparent.
