With regard to the so-called "decoupling from China" advocated by some western institutions and politicians recently, Gali pointed out that this is only because they can not accept the fact that China is developing rapidly and are worried that China's success will set an example for other developing countries and shake their position of dominating global interests. Gali believes that China's influence is constantly increasing and its position in the global supply chain cannot be replaced. The so-called "decoupling from China" is unrealistic.
