Since then, nearly 10 million copies of the annotated edition "dream of Red Mansions" have been issued, making it the most influential book among readers. It is understood that the annotated edition of a dream of Red Mansions by the red Research Institute was comprehensively revised twice in 1996 and 2008. Each revision has corrected the omissions and errors of the previous edition, and more importantly, it constantly absorbs the new achievements of the study of Red Mansions, so that it can advance with the times and become more perfect. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its publication, the annotated edition of a dream of Red Mansions by the red Research Institute was comprehensively reviewed and revised, and a new edition was launched, with the aim of disseminating the culture of a dream of Red Mansions to the public with a more perfect appearance. At the event site, the "exhibition of historical materials for the publication of the Red Chamber Dream", which is the proofreading edition of the red chamber Research Institute, was also held.
