Not long ago, the second China Africa peace and Security Forum Ministerial Conference was successfully held in Beijing by video. The theme of this forum is "strengthening solidarity and cooperation to achieve common security". China and Africa have embarked on a road of cooperation with distinctive characteristics on the journey of development and revitalization. China has always faithfully implemented the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind and actively fulfilled its international responsibilities and obligations. China is a firm supporter, constructive participant and active contributor to the cause of peace and security in Africa. And provide strong support for strengthening Africa's independent peacekeeping capacity. For a long time, China has adhered to the correct concept of justice and interests and the concept of sincerity, affinity and good faith, firmly supported African countries, the African Union and other regional organizations to solve African problems in an African way, opposed external interference in Africa's internal affairs, and provided assistance and support within its capacity for Africa to enhance its independent peacekeeping capacity. Since President Xi Jinping proposed the implementation of the "eight actions" at the Beijing summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation of the Forum on China Africa cooperation in 2018, China has actively implemented US $100 million free military assistance to the African Union and supported the construction of the African standing army and the rapid response force for crisis response. We promoted the implementation of the China Africa peace and security cooperation fund, overfulfilled 50 security assistance projects, and provided equipment, materials, training and other support to African peacekeeping and stability maintenance efforts. The Chinese armed forces have constantly maintained close high-level exchanges with African armed forces, actively carried out military professional and technical exchanges and cooperation, assisted in the construction of academies, hospitals and other facilities, sent military experts to Africa, and supported African countries in strengthening national defense and army building and enhancing their independent peacekeeping capabilities through various means. And provide security products for promoting peace and stability in Africa. China has actively participated in UN peacekeeping operations in Africa. At present, nearly 2000 Chinese peacekeepers are on duty in Africa. China is the largest contributor of peacekeeping troops among the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and the second largest contributor to United Nations peacekeeping operations. About 75% of its peacekeeping contributions go to Africa. Since 2008, the Chinese navy has regularly dispatched ships to the Gulf of Aden to carry out escort missions. A total of 41 convoys have been dispatched, providing security protection for more than 1500 batches and more than 7000 Chinese and foreign ships. China has also actively participated in humanitarian relief, fully demonstrating the responsibility and responsibility of a major country. In the fight against Ebola, China took the lead and rushed to the rescue. After the outbreak of COVID-19, China provided 120 batches of material assistance to 53 African countries and the African Union, and sent anti epidemic medical expert groups or short-term medical teams to 17 African countries to share the experience of epidemic prevention and control. And play an active role in improving security governance in Africa. China has actively participated in mediation on hotspot issues in Africa, supported the settlement of disputes and differences through dialogue and consultation, and played a constructive role in improving security governance and promoting peace and development in Africa. In recent years, during its tenure as the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council, China has proposed to hold such open debates as "piracy in the Gulf of Guinea", "strengthening African Peace and security capacity building" and "strengthening African peacekeeping operations", calling on the international community to pay more attention to and support the cause of peace and security in Africa. Since 2018, China has held the China Africa defense and security forum, the China Africa peace and security action dialogue, the China Africa peace and security forum, and the special video seminar on the security situation in the Gulf of Guinea
