Joseph njorog, Acting Deputy Minister of the Ministry of water resources, sanitation and irrigation of Kenya, said in an interview with the reporter that the karimanuu dam water supply project reflects the deepening of China Kenya cooperation and will greatly alleviate the water problem in Nairobi and surrounding areas. "This is a very important project for us." Li Jiafeng, senior consultant of karimanuel dam water supply project, said that the project is a comprehensive water conservancy project integrating the dam, water treatment plant and pipeline. It is located in Kiambu County, about 75 kilometers away from Nairobi. At present, the project has entered the delivery stage and has been put into operation. The reservoir capacity of the dam is 26.4 million cubic meters, and the daily treatment capacity of the water plant is 70000 cubic meters.
