Panchen: promoting the Sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism is the only way for the healthy inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism in the new era

2022-06-21

In order to promote the Sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism and realize the adaptation of Tibetan Buddhism to the socialist society, we will discuss and study together. At the symposium, the Panchen Lama, in combination with his own experience, talked freely about the freedom of religious belief in Tibet, the full protection of normal religious activities, the promotion of the concept of helping the world and the people, harmony and equality, and advancing with the times by all religions and sects, the intensive study of classics, and the promotion of the adaptation of religion to the socialist society under the brilliant light of the party's ethnic and religious policies. Through a large number of examples and deep feelings of the healthy development of Tibetan Buddhism, people of various sects in the Tibetan Buddhist community express their views and speak freely. In combination with the actual situation in their respective fields, all participants had extensive and in-depth exchanges on the healthy inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism, the interpretation of doctrines and rules, the management of religious affairs according to law and the "Three Consciousness" education in the religious community. Panchen said that promoting the Sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism is the only way for the healthy inheritance of Tibetan Buddhism in the new era. It is necessary to find out the correct role and answer the questions of the times, and strive to promote Tibetan Buddhism to better adapt to social development, people's needs and cultural progress, so as to maximize the cohesion for the overall cause of the party and the state, long-term social stability and high-quality development. We should take the promotion of the Sinicization of Tibetan Buddhism as a practice of faith to promote Buddhism, explore our own development model that is compatible with the socialist society from a broader and broader perspective, thoroughly explain the Sinicization of doctrines and rules, and strive to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation under the high expectations of the party and the people. Panchen said that we are the "drivers" of Tibetan Buddhism, carrying Tibetan Buddhist believers, monks and nuns, as well as Tibetan Buddhist culture inherited from history. It is the responsibility and obligation of our Tibetan Buddhist inheritors and patriotic and religious eminent monks to drive the car smoothly and safely to the destination. Those who love religion must love their country, and those who love the people must love the party. Eminent monks and virtue in Tibetan Buddhism should enhance their sense of responsibility and mission in the education of "three senses", educate and guide monks and nuns in temples and religious believers to establish the concept that the state is greater than religion, citizens are greater than the people, and national laws are greater than religious rules, resolutely support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, put the interests of the state and the people first, solemnly protect the country and benefit the people, We will strive to unite the broad masses of religious believers around the party and the government, and consciously integrate them into the dream of building a beautiful and happy Tibet and realizing the great rejuvenation together.
