Hungarian diplomat Alexey was elected president of the 77th UN General Assembly

The general assembly of the United Nations on the 7th elected Hungarian diplomat Alexei as the president of the 77th session of the general assembly. In his speech after his election, kleehy said that the five priorities of his work during his tenure were to adhere to the basic principles of the Charter of the United Nations, significantly promote the transition to sustainable development, seek comprehensive solutions to systemic challenges, strengthen the role of Science in decision-making, and strengthen unity to meet challenges. Kleehy will take office as president of the 77th UN General Assembly in September this year, succeeding Shahid, President of the 76th UN General Assembly, for a one-year term. Born in 1958, klesch served as Hungarian ambassador to Greece from 2002 to 2006, permanent representative of Hungary to the United Nations from 2010 to 2014, and head of environmental affairs in the office of the president of Hungary from 2015.
