Chinese social organizations actively introduced the achievements in safeguarding the rights and interests of women and children at the Human Rights Council

Recently, at the 49th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, many Chinese social organizations actively spoke online and actively introduced the concept and practice of protecting the rights and interests of Chinese women and children in combination with their respective work. The Beijing Association for the promotion of international exchanges of non-governmental organizations comprehensively introduced the positive contributions of the Beijing Winter Olympics in promoting women's equal enjoyment of sports rights, and called on the international community to create a more inclusive social environment for women's cultural equality. The China Association for international exchanges introduced the protection of the rights and interests of women of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang, saying that the development environment for women of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang has continued to improve, and more and more women have participated in the economic and social construction of Xinjiang and "held up half the sky". China Soong Ching Ling Foundation introduced the innovative demonstration project of "building a community with a shared future for mankind and promoting youth participation in sustainable development" jointly launched with the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Volunteers, and expressed its willingness to work closely with all parties to jointly safeguard children's rights and interests and promote children's development. China Poverty Alleviation foundation and Beijing Chunhui charity foundation also spoke one after another to introduce the relevant practices of responding to the Rural Revitalization Strategy, establishing and improving the education and assistance mechanism for students from rural families with financial difficulties, as well as the beneficial practices of providing free meals for children in developing countries such as Ethiopia and Nepal and ensuring children's right to food. Beijing Guangming charity foundation and Beijing Youth Legal Aid and research center introduced the mobilization of mass sports forces and the implementation of assistance projects for disabled children, and called on the international community to strengthen cooperation and take more effective actions to eliminate violence against children.
