Snowflakes soar from the soles of their feet, which is the moment of fierce competition. As the Beijing Winter Olympics is about to be held, the themes of the Olympic Games, ice and snow sports and sports spirit have become the biggest highlight of the Beijing Biennale. Historical events, sports, urban landscape and mascots related to the Olympic Games are all reflected in the creation. In Wang Xuexian's oil painting "the surging dream of a powerful sports country", scenes such as the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Chinese women's volleyball team, the 100m flying man Su Bingtian, the world champion of table tennis Xu Xin, and the Shougang large platform of the Winter Olympic Games are connected together like time and space, showing the spiritual shock brought by the sports spirit in the interweaving of ice and fire, motion and silence. "Sports is the strong light of life, and art is the bright color of life. The Olympic flame radiates the strong flame of life, and the inspiration of art radiates the bright brilliance of life." The theme of the Beijing Biennale burst out colorful colors in the artist's works. Wang Guanjun's Chinese painting "light of life" integrates the anti epidemic spirit with the Olympic spirit. A group of Greek mythological characters soar freely in the brilliant sky, like a pure and pure dream realm. The realistic modeling, fine line drawing and simple and elegant color setting of the works reflect the spirit of cultural exchange between the East and the West. Paintings such as the Paris subway in the epidemic by Rebecca Vincenzi, a British painter, and the clean earth by bamaz taler, an American painter, show people's living conditions under the epidemic and the good wishes of people all over the world to overcome the epidemic. It is worth mentioning that the two video art works of Spanish artist Eugenio ampdia show the scene of a racing driver riding a bicycle in the empty Madrid Prado Museum and a group of plants watching the exhibition in the theater without an audience in Barcelona, showing the different experience brought by the epidemic to people's life and soul. In addition to directly expressing the themes of the Olympic Games and the fight against epidemic diseases, there are also works showing local customs and people's life. The use of Chinese elements, Chinese language and Chinese style can also be seen in the works of some foreign artists. These works from all over the world are filled with the passionate eulogy of the supremacy of human life and the common destiny, and reflect the brilliant and warm spectrum of life. Tao Qin, convener of the Beijing Biennale Planning Committee, introduced that this Biennale is the most pertinent Biennale and the most difficult Biennale over the years. There are 117 countries and regions participating in this Beijing Biennale, 573 artists, 707 works in total, 487 works from foreign countries (including special exhibitions) and 220 works from China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). The works of this exhibition adopt a variety of artistic forms such as painting, sculpture, installation and image, and pursue a novel, unique and colorful contemporary art style.
