Focusing on the new opportunities in the urban development of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao during the "14th five year plan", the Shanghai Hong Kong Macao Youth Economic Development Forum in 2021 was held in Shanghai in the form of video connection between the three places on the 29th. More than 100 youth representatives and professionals attended the meeting and looked forward to more possibilities for youth cooperation and exchange between Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao. Xu Yingwei, director of the Home Affairs Bureau of the HKSAR government, introduced to the young participants through video connection that the HKSAR Government attaches great importance to the youth exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland. For example, in East China, Hong Kong regularly holds youth exchange activities with Shanghai and surrounding provinces, and also launched a learning plan. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the SAR government will promote the further integration of Hong Kong youth into the overall situation of national development. "The youth of the three places have their own advantages and a solid foundation for cooperation." Luo Yilong, President of the Macao Youth Federation, said in a video link that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, the youth of the three places should take the initiative to connect with the national development strategy and promote the cooperation and linkage development of the three places. The atmosphere of the youth delegates was lively, and the trend of "regional integration development" attracted special attention. Huang Shuxiang, vice president of the Macao Youth Federation, is optimistic about the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, but also focuses on the development opportunities of the Yangtze River Delta. He said: "our youth and enterprises should follow the trend, especially study and study well in combination with the functional positioning of these two regions." According to the Shanghai Youth Federation, with the deepening of the cooperation mechanism between Shanghai, Hong Kong and Shanghai Macao, youth exchanges have become increasingly hot. In recent years, relevant summer cultural practice activities, youth and college students' research on online new economic enterprises have gradually formed a "brand effect". During the 14th Five Year Plan period, Shanghai will continue to promote the integrated development of youth in the three places. Zheng Gangmiao, President of Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association, encouraged young people from three places at the forum to grasp the opportunities, devote themselves to the hot spots, create new businesses and achieve dreams. He hoped that young people from Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao would strengthen exchanges, share experiences, pool resources, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and contribute wisdom and strength to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in promoting economic and social exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao. Founded in 1999, the Shanghai Hong Kong Macao Youth Economic Development Forum has a history of more than 20 years. It is an important platform for youth cooperation and exchange among Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macao. The forum was co sponsored by Shanghai Overseas Friendship Association, Shanghai Youth Federation, Hong Kong Youth Federation and Macao Youth Federation. (outlook new era)
