"Nimadoji is really promising. Did you hear that nimadoji won the silver medal in today's final?" on October 28, it was learned that nimadoji, a student, won the silver medal in the men's standing long jump final of the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympic Games. Si Yong, a blind teacher of Lhasa special education school in Tibet Autonomous Region, applauded with excitement. In 2018, Siyong's blind massage secondary school welcomed 8 students, including nimadoji. Nimadoji has congenital cataract, and his world has only a glimmer of light since he was born. In 2015, through surgery, nimadoji's visual acuity recovered by more than half. "Now the left eye in good condition can see within 50 meters", nimadoji was very satisfied. In June this year, nimadoji, who learned that athletes were selected for the Paralympic Games, took the initiative to sign up and was successfully selected into the men's standing long jump team. After more than three months of assault training, on October 28, nimadoji won the silver medal in the men's standing long jump final of the 11th National Paralympic Games and the 8th Special Olympic Games. "It's like a dream. I didn't even think of it myself," he said. In July this year, the 2018 blind massage class graduated. In Si Yong's opinion, although nimadoji has low vision, other conditions are very good. There are more possibilities in the future. There is no need to engage in massage for the blind. But nimadoji was a little "tough" on this matter. He had made up his mind for a long time, "Dad is my example. I want to serve more people in the future like him". Whenever he heard the students call him "Dad", Si Yong was very beautiful in his heart. As a visually impaired person, Si Yong knows more about the psychological characteristics and real needs of these children. In 1991, after graduating from Chengdu special education school, Si Yong returned to Naqu's hometown to engage in massage for the blind. "I have always had a thought in my heart, hoping to teach massage technology to more children suffering from visual impairment." in 2006, Si Yong came to Lhasa special education school and became a "special teacher" in this "special school". Lhasa special education school, established on December 1, 2000, is the first comprehensive special education school in Tibet for blind, deaf mute, mentally retarded students and vocational high school education. After more than 20 years of development, the school has three teaching departments for intellectual training, deaf and blind in the stage of compulsory education. Vocational education has opened seven majors such as blind massage, Thangka, pastry and soft pottery, with a total of 76 teaching staff and 236 students. Students' study, food, clothing, housing, use, transportation and other expenses are provided by the state. When he first arrived at the special education school, Si Yong felt a little difficult in the face of strange environment and students. In his spare time, he fumbled repeatedly on the way from the office to each class, so as not to delay the class time because he was unfamiliar and took the wrong way. At the same time, he also took the initiative to understand each child's family and learning situation and get together with them. Cangla (a pseudonym) is nimadoji's classmate. She is blind and suffers from mental retardation. On weekdays, the average student can learn it by teaching it three times, but cangla needs 30 times or more. In order to enable cangla to master various acupoints of the human body, Si Yong asked her to practice on herself, often pinched blue and purple. With mental retardation and blindness, it is conceivable that it is difficult to teach the child. Kesiyong never gave up and encouraged cangla, "what I can do, you can do it.". With the help of Si Yong, cangla can now complete the massage work independently. "Although I can't see, I still hope to bring light to the children." with the recommendation of Si Yong, almost all the students in the blind massage class have solved the employment problem. In this special education school, there are not only "father" Si Yong, but also "mother" Bian bacang Jue who hope to bring light to children. In August 2016, Bian bacang Jue was transferred to Lhasa special education school from Minhang middle school in Jiangzi County, Shigatse City to teach. He could not sign language and understood Braille. He had never been in contact with "special" children. Bian bacang Jue was beating a drum in his heart for a time. In order to communicate with the children and integrate into their lives, Bianba Cang never missed "make-up lessons". "It's painful when I first came into contact with Braille, because there are only six points in each small square." Bian bacang told reporters that ordinary people's fingers are not sensitive enough, so it's difficult to feel the arrangement difference of the six points. "Ordinary people learn Braille by looking or touching". In order to master Braille more skillfully, she studies until two or three o'clock at night every day and relies on continuous eye drops to relieve eye pain. She could turn the rough edges of two books, Chinese Braille and introduction to special education. Wearing a big brimmed hat, no left arm, and covering his face with a mask and scarf, Bian bacang was attracted by this specially dressed girl when he entered the classroom for the first time. She squatted next to the girl Ciqu (a pseudonym) and asked, "why do you cover so tightly and take off your hat?" Ciqu bowed her head and didn't respond. When she was 3 years old, her left face was severely burned due to an accident, resulting in skin adhesion, scalp damage and greatly affected her vision. Not only that, she also lost her left arm. After class, Bian bacang decided to take the second song to the playground and enlighten patiently. "You are actually very beautiful", "all the students in the class like you", "you should be confident, so you can look good when you laugh"... After more than an hour of communication, Ciqu slowly raised his right hand, took off his hat and mask, whispered "Mom", and went into Bian Ba Cang Jue's arms. "I'm really moved beyond words," Bian said hastily. After learning that Ciqu's home is far from the school and that she stays alone in school during small and long holidays, Bian bacang will often take her home and buy her beautiful clothes and wigs. "Small saplings need careful care and patient cultivation." In September this year, the second song was successfully promoted to grade 9. "My mother has always encouraged me to be confident. The outside is only a part, and the inner beauty is the most beautiful." over the past six years, Bian bacang has never accompanied Ciqu from grade 4 to grade 9, from silent to optimistic and cheerful. She has brought color to Ciqu's life. In 2019, bianbacang won the first prize of excellent teacher in Lhasa. From compulsory education to special education, Bian bacang said: "I never regret coming here. Now, there are more children here who affectionately call me 'mother'." (outlook new era)
