The fourth Paris Peace Forum opened in Paris, France on the 11th. Participants will focus on issues such as global governance, public health and epidemic prevention and control, economic recovery and inclusive development, climate change and biodiversity, governance in digital and network areas in the post COVID-19 era, and better respond to global challenges through international cooperation and multilateral action. The forum was held online and offline. Participants included leaders of some countries and governments, as well as heads of international organizations, non-governmental organizations and transnational corporations. The forum will close on the 13th. In his speech at the opening ceremony, French President macron said that "effective multilateralism" should be adopted to address global challenges, including promoting arms control, major country cooperation and global governance. He also called for helping developing countries and low - and middle-income countries to improve the local production capacity of new crown vaccines and take more actions to deal with global warming and protect biodiversity. The forum will also discuss and exchange 80 innovative solutions for global governance. These programmes come from international organizations, non-governmental organizations, think tanks and trade associations, which mainly involve COVID-19, protect the environment and biodiversity, control digital areas, promote gender equality and strengthen South South cooperation.
