Dutch Prime Minister Ruud met with Wang Yi

On October 31st, local Prime Minister Lut met with the special representative of Xi Jinping, State Councilor and Minister of foreign affairs, Wang Yi, who is attending the summit of the group of twenty in Rome. Wang Yi first conveyed the cordial greetings of Chinese leaders to lute. Wang Yi said that next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Netherlands, which is of great significance as a link between the past and the future. China is willing to work with the Netherlands to sum up experience, plan the future, promote greater development of China Netherlands relations, benefit the two countries and two peoples, and inject momentum into China EU relations. The two sides should adhere to mutual respect, mutual benefit and win-win results, promote high-level mutual opening, deepen cooperation in connectivity, digital economy and green development, and jointly promote the economic recovery of the two countries and the world. It is hoped that the Netherlands will provide an open, fair and non discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises. Lute asked Wang Yi to convey his best wishes to Chinese leaders. Lute said that the Netherlands attaches great importance to the opportunities brought by the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries for the development of Netherlands China relations and is willing to celebrate this year of great significance with China. The Netherlands is willing to strengthen bilateral exchanges at all levels and welcome China to expand its investment in the Netherlands. Lute said that the Netherlands is full of expectations for the Beijing Winter Olympics and hopes to understand the preparations and actively participate in it. Wang Yi introduced the preparations for the Beijing Winter Olympics and stressed that China is confident to present a "simple, safe and wonderful" Olympic event to the world. Wang Yi said that holding the Winter Olympics in China will attract 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports and will effectively promote the popularization and development of global sports. China is willing to strengthen ice and snow sports cooperation with the Netherlands to add new connotation to bilateral relations. I wish Dutch athletes good results in Beijing. The two sides said they would jointly promote the healthy and stable development of China EU relations. The two sides also exchanged views on climate change and other issues of common concern. Wang Yi introduced China's strong measures and positive results in energy conservation and emission reduction. Lute spoke highly of China's announcement not to build new coal power projects overseas and expressed his willingness to work with China to promote global green and low-carbon development.
