President Xi Jinping continued to attend the sixteenth summit of leaders of the group of twenty in Beijing on the evening of 31, focusing on issues such as climate change, energy and sustainable development. Xi Jinping pointed out that climate change and energy issues are prominent global challenges, which concern the common interests of the international community as well as the future of the earth. The willingness and motivation of the international community to jointly respond to challenges are rising. The key is to take practical action. First, adopt comprehensive and balanced policies and measures. We must coordinate environmental protection and economic development, take into account the response to climate change and ensure people's livelihood, and major economies should strengthen cooperation in this regard. Second, fully and effectively implement the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change and its Paris Agreement. We should adhere to the main channel status of the United Nations, take the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities as the cornerstone, take international law as the foundation and take effective action as the guidance, strengthen our own actions and improve the level of cooperation. Third, increase support for developing countries. G20 members should take the lead in promoting the popularization and application of advanced technologies. Developed countries should also earnestly fulfill their commitments and provide financial support to developing countries. Xi Jinping stressed that China's carbon emissions intensity has substantially exceeded its 2020 climate action goals in the past 15 years. China will successively release implementation plans and supporting measures for carbon peaking in key areas and industries, and build a "1 + n" policy system of carbon peaking and carbon neutralization. We will continue to promote the transformation and upgrading of energy and industrial structure, promote the R & D and application of green and low-carbon technologies, support qualified localities, industries and enterprises to take the lead in reaching the peak, and make positive contributions to the global efforts to combat climate change and promote energy transformation. China's hitherto unknown novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic has been threatened by the spread of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Xi Jinping has pointed out that the development of the international community has been seriously eroded over the years, and the developing countries are facing unprecedented challenges and challenges. The novel coronavirus pneumonia situation once again shows that the destiny of every country is linked and the interests are united, and it is the destiny community of mankind. Promoting the sustainable development of developing countries will benefit the people of the countries concerned and affect the future and destiny of mankind and the earth. Xi Jinping stressed that China has launched the global development initiative recently, calling on the international community to accelerate the implementation of the United Nations agenda for sustainable development in 2030 and promote a more robust, green and healthy global development. The G20 should build consensus and strengthen action in this regard. First, we should give priority to development and implement the people-centered concept. We should take improving people's well-being and achieving all-round human development as the starting point and foothold, place development cooperation in a prominent position in global macro policy coordination and the G20 agenda, and strive to solve problems such as poverty and unbalanced development. Second, adhere to the action orientation and promote practical cooperation. We should increase investment in development, pay attention to the needs of developing countries, and strengthen cooperation in key areas such as poverty reduction, food security, industrialization and connectivity. China successfully hosted the international food impairment conference in September this year and is willing to continue to contribute more Chinese wisdom and programs through the G20 platform. Third, adhere to mutual benefit and win-win results and build partnership. We should support the United Nations in playing an integrated and coordinated role, deepen the global partnership for development and build a global community with a shared future for development. Developed countries should earnestly fulfill their development assistance commitments and provide more resources to developing countries. The global development initiative put forward by China will be deeply connected with the UN 2030 agenda for sustainable development to jointly promote the cause of global development. The summit adopted the declaration of the G20 leaders' Rome summit. Ding Xuexiang, Liu He, Yang Jiechi and others attended. Wang Yi, as the special representative of President Xi Jinping, was present at the scene in Italy. (outlook new era)
