According to the announcement issued by the Spanish Ministry of Defense, Germany, Croatia, Spain, the United States, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Türkiye sent about 4000 soldiers, 30 ships, 2 submarines, amphibious forces and air resources for this exercise. The Spanish Ministry of Defense stated that this exercise aims to simulate the navy's command and control of naval forces far from the coast in medium to high-intensity scenarios, and to test the navy's capabilities in power projection, amphibious operations, anti submarine warfare, and cyber defense.
