Yesterday, NATO launched a large-scale joint military exercise codenamed "Dynamic Sailor/Flotex-25" in Spain. According to the Spanish news agency Efe, the military exercise involved 9 NATO member countries and took place from March 24th to April 4th in the Gulf of Cadiz and the southern coast of Andalusia, Spain. According to reports, this military exercise is the most important naval exercise in recent years for Spain and even NATO. According to the announcement issued by the Spanish Ministry of Defense, Germany, Croatia, Spain, the United States, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Türkiye sent about 4000 soldiers, 30 ships, 2 submarines, amphibious forces and air resources for this exercise. The Spanish Ministry of Defense stated that this exercise aims to simulate the navy's command and control of naval forces far from the coast in medium to high-intensity scenarios, and to test the navy's capabilities in power projection, amphibious operations, anti submarine warfare, and cyber defense. In addition, the exercise will also test the integration of new technologies such as drones with naval operations. The NATO Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) stated that this military exercise can enhance NATO's ability to conduct joint operations in complex environments and ensure that the Allied navies can effectively respond to emerging security challenges.
