Looking ahead, improving the quality of the economy and increasing its total output are not only core tasks of economic development but also key indicators measuring a country's comprehensive strength. At present, China has not yet reached the threshold of high-income countries. To make the transition from an economic giant to powerful economy, both quality and quantity are indispensable. We must pursue both simultaneously, and insist on high-quality development as an imperative of the new era. General Secretary Jinping clearly pointed out at the Central Economic Work Conference that economic work involves myriad issues, and "we must coordinate the improvement of quality and the expansion of quantity, consolidate the material foundation of Chinese-style modernization." This conclusion emphasizes that economic development has two aspects: "quality" and "quantity," profoundly revealing core significance of high-quality economic development and representing a deep understanding of the regularity of economic work. To achieve high-quality development, it is necessary to correctly understand dialectical unity of quality and quantity, grasp the prominent characteristics of China's economy, such as a solid economic foundation, numerous advantages, strong resilience, and great, play to the advantages of a super-large market and a rich variety of application scenarios, and integrate the effective improvement of quality with the reasonable growth of quantity throughout entire process of high-quality development.
